It is the main airport of the city of Los Angeles and is simply known as LAX by Californians, pronouncing each letter separately. It’s located southwest, in the Westchester neighborhood, 27 kilometres from downtown. It serves more than 60 million passengers, moving more than 2 million tons of cargo with 87 domestic destinations and 69 international destinations to North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. It has nine U-shaped passenger terminals, each with a bus service.
